Care Fund has been
established to
provide
assistance and services for Japanese and Japanese-Americans who reside
in the Washington Metropolitan area. It was incorporated as a
non-profit organization (NPO)
in October 2000. In caring for a Japanese woman who was
dying of lung cancer and could not get help from other sources made us
realize the importance of an organization that provides support and
services for such people.
Regardless of how long you have
been living in the
United
States or how old you are, you may wish to consult or explain in
Japanese when you encounter various problems in daily life here.
To
meet such needs, the Care Fund was created to maintain a Japanese
language telephone help-line and provide necessary information and
various services.
The Care Fund hopes to be a catalyst for developing a local network
of mutual help among the Japanese and Japanese Americans living in
the area.
